Chocolate Covered Spoons
White or milk melting chocolate
Plastic or stainless steel spoons
Colored sugars
In a double boiler over low heat, melt chocolate in a saucepan.  Dip heavy-duty plastic or stainless steel teaspoons in melted chocolate, coating bowls well. While still warm, dip bowls into colored sugars.  Allow to cool and harden completely on waxed paper, then cover in plastic wrap and tie with a bow.  A heart-warming gift to tuck into a basket or mug.

Fruity Lip Gloss
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 Tbsp. fruit-flavored drink mix
4 to 6 ½ oz. lidded pots
Combine shortening and drink mix in a microwave-safe bowl; mix well.  Microwave on high setting for about 30 seconds or until shortening mix is melted. Spoon into pots and secure lids.  Refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes until firm.  Makes 4 to 6 pots. A great stocking stuffer for little girls or one that they can make themselves.  Look for mini plastic containers at art supply stores.
